You might not have thought that the world was crying out for a reboot of Jean-Claude Van Damme's Kickboxer, but it's damn sure looking like it's going to get one.
The 1989 original, which was directed by David Worth and Mark DiSalle, is getting a new take thanks to director Stephen Fung. He's landed the job of bringing a new Kickboxer movie to the screen, working from a screenplay by Jim McGrath and Dimitri Logothetis. The latter is one of the movie's producers too.
But Kickboxer isn't the only Van Damme remake on the cards. As it turns out, a new Bloodsport movie is also set to head for production. James McTeigue, of V For Vendetta fame, is directing that one.
There's no sign of any Van Damme involvement that we know of in either of these films, but as we hear more, we will of course keep you updated.
