In another geek-inspired mash-up, the story of Game of Thrones is reimagined as a Disney fairy tale in a new parody trailer.
The combination is obvious when you think about it. In a world of fantasy and magic, every princess is worthy of her own Disney treatment, even Daenerys Targaryen (“Khaleesi”) on Game of Thrones.
In this newest Internet video, Dany appears to be reimagined as a Disney princess of the 1990s variety with a big heart (quite literally) until she crosses over into Frozen territory and does indeed “Let It Go.” However, in the world of George R.R. Martin, that means cute little ice powers must give way to something a little more fiery. Aye, here there be dragons, which makes everything better.
A rather charming conceit, wholesale immolation and dragon slaughter has never seemed so adorable. Yet, one does have to wonder if in this version the dragons talk, and if so, which celebrity voice would best suit Drogon? Further, could the happy ending be Dany feeding Joffrey to her sidekicks one piece at a time Theon Greyoy style? Questions to ponder for a Burnt movie that we’d love to see.
