The Friday the 13th reboot has been pushed back from Friday the 13th to...Friday the 13th.
Folks counting the days until March 13th, 2015 hoping to see a new incarnation of the Jason Voorhees legend take shape on the screen have to wait a little longer. Actually, quite a bit longer. The latest reboot of the Friday the 13th franchise has been pushed back to the NEXT "appropriate" date on the calendar, that being Friday, November 13th, 2015.
We appreciate Paramount wanting to keep a certain consistency with the franchise and the release dates, but does this strike anyone else as a little OCD? Considering how strangely light October tends to be on horror movies these days, I don't think anyone would complain if an appropriate supernatural slasher flick were to be dropped on a Friday that ISN'T followed by the number 13 in late September or early October.
If this is the release strategy they're sticking to, let's hope that there are no further delays. In the meantime, Paramount is dropping Scouts vs. Zombies in the March 13th slot.
