A brand new promotional poster for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has arrived.
After the rise comes the dawn. 20th Century Fox (via IGN) has released a brand new poster for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the sequel to Rupert Wyatt's surprise 2011 hit, Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
However, the sequel doesn't come courtesy of Wyatt. This time around, Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In) sits in the director's chair, after Wyatt left the picture in 2012 believing he couldn't meet the initial May 2014 release date. Fans of the original film were concerned, but they shouldn't be. From the trailers and footage released so far, Reeves seems to be bringing the same amount of dread and menace to the new film that he brought to his previous directorial efforts.
Fans will get to see for themselves when the movie hits theaters on July 11th. Moviegoers will be able to see new cast members Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and Kodi Smith-McPhee joining returning player Andy Serkis as Ape leader Caesar.
