Monty Python will be live there, but you can watch them here.
For those who believe that Monty Python ceased to be. Or are bereft of life. That they rest in peace, kicked the bucket, hopped the twig, bit the dust, snuffed it, breathed their last, or gone to meet the Great Head of Light Entertainment in the sky, cheer up. The remaining Pythons, and that is the majority, are getting off their comfy chairs and returning to the stage, well, the screens, well, they’re coming, and as you know every sperm is sacred.
A few months ago, the Pythons announced “Thanks to the wonderful invention of moving pictures, The Last Night of Monty Python is coming to a cinema near you. Get your knotted handkerchiefs out and warm your brains one last time at any one of 450 cinemas across the UK, and 1500 across the world. Join the crowd live from London’s O2 in a final weepy, hilarious, uproarious, outrageous, farewell to the five remaining Pythons as they head for The Old Jokes Home .... On the big screen, in HD.”
The upcoming Monty Python Live (mostly) will be broadcast by Picturehouse Entertainment on July 20 2014. The broadcast will capture what promises to be “the historic Last Night of the Pythons live from London’s O2.”
Britain’s oldest living clowns sent an email to everyone who bothered to put their name on the email list to say “Monty Python Live (mostly) is coming soon to a cinema near you (probably)!
Tickets are now on sale for shows in the USA through Fathom Events, broadcast LIVE to cinemas nationwide on Sunday 20 July with rebroadcasts on Wednesday 23 July and Thursday 24 July. Showtimes can be found at this link.
