Bryan Singer hints at X-Men: Apocalypse script with a new photo that reveals the superhero movie's first scene.
Whether Bryan Singer will return to helm X-Men: Apocalypse remains somewhat up in the air despite X-Men: Days of Future Past being the series’ highest grossing entry to date. However, Singer is making sure the fans know—and by extension 20th Century Fox—that he is pressing on as the shepherd of the series and as one of the writers of X-Men: Apocalypse.
Taking to Instagram, Bryan Singer has posted a tantalizing image of the first page for X-Men: Apocalypse’s treatment, which holds the considerable writing credits of Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty, and Dan Harris. Combining the scripting teams of Days of Future Past and X2 could be enough to make X-fans salivate at the idea of a finished draft. Yet, through the extremely selective cropping of the first paragraph of the treatment, fans are glimpsed several key words about what the first scene of the movie is intended to include. Words like “Nile,”“battle,” “thousands,” and “Four Horsemen.”
Thus it would appear that for the moment, X-Men: Apocalypse is intended to begin not long after the post-credits stinger of X-Men: Days of Future Past. For the fans who were patient enough to wait, they know that means a young Apocalypse crafting the Pyramids of Giza with his mind. Now, it appears the next film begins with his hinted at Four Horsemen taking to the skies with the intent of reigning hellfire down on a battle. Is this X-Men or Lord of the Rings?!?
X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016.
