ABC's Once Upon A Time has cast Princess Anna and Kristof from Disney's Frozen for the upcoming season.
Love it or love it and are ashamed to admit it, Frozen is ubiquitous in our culture. Once a family film that, when I reviewed it, nobody was expecting an instant classic from, the picture is omnipresent in our lives now, just like death and taxes.
Likewise it’s impact on ABC’s Once Upon A Time will be felt even more tangibly soon. In a story first reported by TVLine, the hit fairy tale ABC series will not only be adding Queen Elsa from the now iconic Walt Disney Animation Studios film, but it will also introduce the Frozen characters of Anna and Kristoff in the fourth season.
Continuing the news that came last May with a teasing reveal for Elsa joining Once Upon A Time, newcomer actress Elizabeth Lall has been cast in the role of Princess Anna, Elsa’s spunky and tomboy sister voiced by Kristen Bell in the movie, and Greek alum Scott Michael Foster will play Kristoff, the ice-selling poor boy who wins Anna’s heart.
According to TVLine, Anna and Kristoff will already be a couple on Once Upon A Time with Anna being described as “fun-loving” and optimistic while Kristoff is a “salt-of-the-earth” bloke who’s just now adjusting to sleeping indoors.
The Frozen tease from the show is above. Season 4 of Once Upon A Time is expected to premiere sometime in September or October.
