The follow up to Zack Snyder's adaptation of 300, the Noam Murro directed 300: Rise Of An Empire, is set for release next year, having being pushed back from this summer by Warner Bros. And whilst this is a prequel to the original movie, there is at least one returning face who will be back for the movie.
That returning face belongs to Dredd and Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey, who will be reprising her role as Queen Gorgo. She's been chatting about the movie and seems to be easing fans fears that there may be a drop off in quality. "It's huge! It's different in that Zack [Snyder] didn't direct it, so it's a very different feeling", she told Total movie. "But the movie, visually, follows on very much from the original. It's something that's so beloved for its physicality and visceral content. I had fun; I got to hold a sword".
Headey then went on to comment on her enjoyment of getting in on the action this time around. "Yeah! I love all that, I'm such a boy!", she said. "They're like, 'do you want to come to fight training?' I'm like, 'Yes!'"
300: Rise Of An Empire is released on March 7th 2014.
