Matt Reeves is already signed on to the sequel for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, but he also has another follow-up on his radar, as well.
Matt Reeves is currently signed on to co-write and direct 2016’s next Planet of the Apes film. And after the awing success of this past weekend’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, it’s safe to say that the third installment will meet its July 29, 2016 release date. Yet, the Let Me In director already has another project on his horizon for production likely after the next Caesar adventure. And as he tells ComingSoon, it is one that he has wanted to make for a long time: The Invisible Woman.
“That’s still a movie I desperately want to make,” Reeves told ComingSoon. “…If I don’t make it right before this one, I’ll make it right after the next Apes film.”
Describes as a science fiction suspense movie, it’s a picture that Reeves has been chasing to make since his first success with Cloverfield in 2008. In 2011, Reeves was still talking about it when he told ShockTillYouDrop that it’s an “intimate” character study, which he compared to the Hitchcockian menace in his vampire romance, Let Me In.
It is certainly one to keep an eye on for the future.
