We couldn't make this one up if we tried. The Terminator reboot has a title...a strange one.
Well, when it comes to movie titles, studios just seem to be looking to outdo each other these days. We didn't think it could get any more ridiculous than Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice or the strangely pretentious Jungle Book: Origins (both from Warner Bros.), but Paramount appears to have outdone them both with the title of Terminator 5(or the Terminator reboot, depending on what day it is).
Terminator: Genisys.
At one point this was called Terminator: Genesis. Perhaps Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins sent their lawyers after them. Or maybe they were concerned that people would confuse it with the plot device of Star Trek IIand Star Trek III. Or maybe I just have a headache and need to lie down.
Alan Taylor is directing Terminator: Genisys and Matt Smith is starring in a mysterious role. Presumably not as a spell-checker. The picture also stars Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke as John Connor (ironically, no relation), as well as Jai Courtney, Courtney B. Vance, JK Simmons, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
