Warner Bros. continues to build their Lego franchise with films coming Memorial Day Weekend 2018 and 2019.

Warner Bros. seems to be stepping up its franchise game. Already this week, the studio announced a slew of DC Comics related projects, including two "WB event films," that span all the way out to 2020. Now another unlikely franchise is getting its own road map for the future.

No one expected The Lego Movie to be the massive success that it was. Now sitting at an impressive domestic box office of $257 million, it looks like Warner Bros. finally has an animated property that it can hang its hat on. As we've seen through years of playsets, TV shows, and video games, Lego can be pretty diverse and they leave an incredible amount of options for creativity and different stories, making them the perfect new potential franchise.

First, we'll be getting a Lego Ninjago movie, based on the popular Cartoon Network TV show, on September 23, 2016, and it's also been reported that we'll probably see a sequel to The Lego Movie on May 26, 2017. Now Warner Bros. have booked two consecutive Memorial Day Weekend dates for 2018 and 2019, with The Hollywood Reporter speculating it could be more Lego works.

May 25, 2018 seems like it could potentially fit a Ninjago sequel if the film performs well. The date of May 24, 2019 also seems like it could be a third outing in TheLego Movie universe. These films, just like the batch of DC titles, have yet to be officially announced, but these seem like strong guesses.

What other story would you like to see told Lego style? Sound off in the comments!
