The apparent villain of Star Wars: Episode VII, Adam Driver, chats about working on the film, and George Lucas...
One of the stars of Girls, Adam Driver, is set to have his profile shot further towards the sky when JJ Abrams'Star Wars: Episode VIIis released. Driver is widely believed to be playing one of the foes in the new film, and he's been chatting to Entertainment Weekly about his work on it.
"Doing Star Wars now - that’s surreal," he said. "I feel like that even with this cast. You start by try[ing] to stamp [that feeling] down as much as possible, just focus on what it is that you are there to do," noting that it's "easier said than done."
Driver then talked at length about his love for the original films, before going on to say "how great is that to get to work on something that has so much humanity in the midst of it?" Driver hasn't yet completed his work on the film, incidentally. He's due back around the middle of November, early December, to wrap things up.
He also said that he hadn't seen George Lucas on set at all. That ties into stories that Mr Lucas is not hugely involved in this particular Star Wars film.
Star Wars: Episode VII is released in cinemas in December 2015. Here's the full piece at EW.
