Orlando Bloom is currently in talks to reprise his role in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
There’s a spot on the ship for Orlando Bloom if he wants it.
With the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise nearing a shooting location, the next step is filling out the cast. Bloom is reportedly open to the idea of returning for another voyage.
In an Oz Comic-Con panel, Bloom said of his involvement in the fifth film: "There have certainly been some discussions about it and I'm open to it.
The film is currently titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and shooting is reported to get underway sometime early in 2015 in Australia. Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg are directing the film and Johnny Depp is slated to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Bloom also spoke to his relationship with Depp and why it makes returning for another film intriguing.
"I had a great time working with Johnny, one of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved,” Bloom said. "I was such a massive fan of Johnny Depp growing up so to get up close and personal to Johnny and see how he worked as an actor was just a massive gift."
The franchise has been a cash cow for Disney, pulling in $3.7 billion from four films. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is aiming for a July 7, 2017 opening day.
