James McAvoy reveals the hairy situation (or lack thereof) he anticipates for Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Despite the impressive post-credits stinger on X-Men: Days of Future Past, which featured the ancient Egyptian advent of Apocalypse, little is still known about what to expect from 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, save that the younger X-Men: First Class cast plus Hugh Jackman are intended to return.
Indeed, when asked by The Huffington Post what else there is to anticipate for the next round of mutant mayhem, actor James McAvoy, who plays the younger Charles Xavier in the series, seemed a bit unsure himself. But he was certain about one thing: “I think I’m losing my hair finally,” McAvoy revealed. It surely would unveil the passage of time from the clean cut Charles of X-Men: First Class to the hairy post-60s Xavier of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
On what else he does know, McAvoy added, “I got an email from Simon Kinberg, our producer and writer extrordinare, that informed he was getting dead excited about stuff, but he didn’t want to divulge anything to me.” However, he does promises that it will get more global, and in fact, apocalyptic. Sounds like there is more to that title than just the character.
We’ll find out just exactly what when see McAvoy, with or without hair, and the rest of the cast in X-Men: Apocalypse when it opens on May 27, 2016.
