Following in the footsteps of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Doctor Strange movie will shoot in the UK, with a 2016 release date.
It isn't the biggest update (Marvel are saving that for the casting news), but the Doctor Strange movie machine is starting to chug along. The latest indicates that the film will shoot at Pinewood-Shepperton, and that production will begin "in late 2014/early 2015."
That makes sense considering that it's a bit of an open secret that Marvel are aiming to release Doctor Strange on July 8th, 2016, which seems to get a little more traction here. Scott Derrickson is directing, with a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus). Everyone keeps talking about Joaquin Phoenix for the role, but he seems a little reluctant to commit to six films.
