Joining Daniel Craig in the next 007 movie? It might just be Rihanna, according to a new tabloid rumour.
Ah, the James Bond movie casting rumours. We've missed these. With production on the new 007 adventure set to begin in the next month or two, the only faces we know for definite returning are Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, and Naomie Harris. As for new names to the world of Bond? We're expecting announcements in due course, but they haven't been forthcoming yet.
Rumour of the day, then, is that Rihanna - last seen on the big screen in 2012's Battleship - is being lined up for a role.
It's come from a tabloid source, the Daily Mirror, so liberal doses of salt probably help in digesting this one. The Mirror, however, reports that she's been approached by the Bond team about taking a role in the new movie.. Naturally, it has an anonymous source that declares Rihanna "loved the idea of appearing in one" and that "she knows she wants to do it."
Sam Mendes is directing the new James Bond film, which is due in UK cinemas at the end of October 2015.
