Ashley Greene has been cast alongside Pierce Brosnan in the upcoming thriller about irresistible urges and the drugs that free them.
Let it not be said that Pierce Brosnan still can’t bring out excitement in folks. Perhaps that is why he was cast earlier this week as a “designer drug creator” for the film Urge. And now he has a customer in the Twilight Saga’s Ashley Greene.
Greene has been cast in the lead role of Theresa in the upcoming thriller. The movie tells of how a group of friends led by Theresa decide to escape New York for a weekend by heading to a destination island getaway. However, once there, they find themselves lured into trying a designer drug that is created and carefully doled out by Brosnan’s character. Everything seems to be perfect with the release it gives—until they realize it inhibits them from controlling their emotions. We’re sure plenty of sex and murder will follow suit.
Greene is best known for playing the clairvoyant vampire Alice in the Twilight movies, but has also appeared in Butter, CBGB, and Joe Dante’s latest film, Burying the Ex, which just premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
The film is being directed by first time helmer Aaron Kaufman, who is a veteran producer of films as varied as Machete and Chef. Production is set to begin filming in New York this month.
