Tom Hanks and Ron Howard will make Dan Brown's Inferno, but it's been moved away from Star Wars...
We've already seen one big film move away from a December 2015 release date, once JJ Abrams'Star Wars: Episode VII pitched its proverbial tent there. Warner Bros had Duncan Jones' big screen take on Warcraft all primed for then, but that got pushed back to 2016.
The latest? The third Dan Brown movie adaptation for director Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks.
The pair have brought The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons to the screen thus far, and they're coming back together for the movie of Inferno. However, Sony Pictures has shunted it away from the December 2015 crossfire.
Not just by a few weeks either. Inferno had originally been set for a December 18th 2015 release, but Sony has now placed it on October 14th 2016. Given the success that Fox has enjoyed with Gone Girl in an October release slot, there's some sense to what Sony has done there. More news on Inferno as we hear it...
