This one looks good. Opening in the US on January 2nd, 2015 is The Gambler, the new film from Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and The Escapist director Rupert Wyatt.
It stars Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Lange, John Goodman, and Brie Larson, and tells the story of a literature professor - that'd be Wahlberg - who, as the title implies, has something of a gambling issue. Consequently, he crosses some gangsters, and drama ensues.
The screenplay for The Gambler has come from William Monahan, who penned the script for The Departed, Body Of Lies, and Kingdom Of Heaven. And we now have the first poster and trailer for the film.
