Holly Hunter has been chatting about her work on Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. There is masculinity in it.

Holly Hunter, across her career, has tended to veer away from big blockbuster movies, but in 2016, we're going to see her as a part of Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. She went to work on the movie - which stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the title roles - just after wrapping her part on the latest Terrence Malick film (which remains untitled, but is due for release in 2015).

So: what was it like working on a juggernaut such asBatman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice? "It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment," she told The Wall Street Journal. "Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he's enthralled".

She took the role when she was asked personally by Snyder, arguing "that would be fun", and "it's fun to mix it up". And when asked about her work in the film, she said that "I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal. And to see Ben and Henry together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity."

Inevitably, that's all she could say about the project - "I don't want anything to happen to my kids" - but you can read the full interview with Holly Hunter, right here.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice lands in March 2016.
