Sylvester Stallone takes on a supporting role in Rocky spin-off movie Creed, which is set to star Michael B Jordan...
Sylvester Stallone will be returning to the big screen to portray Rocky Balboa for the seventh time - but this time only in a supporting role. Instead, the focus will be on the grandson of Apollo Creed, in a movie by the name of, well, Creed.
For a while, this was earmarked as a TV series, but somewhere along the line it seems to have been upgraded to a movie. Michael B Jordan, who will be seen in next year's Fantastic Four reboot, has been earmarked to take the title role in Creed. It's set to be directed by Ryan Coogler, who helmed Jordan in the acclaimedFruitvale Station.
Furthermore, we're hearing that boxers Andre Ward and Tony Bellow are now in negotiations to join the film.
The plan is for shooting on Creedto start in January, which suggests the film may be ready and released before the end of 2015.
