Benedict Cumberbatch fulfills the title of The Imitation Game by impersonating 11 celebrities in 60 seconds, including Sean Connery.
Benedict Cumberbatch has an awards-worthy new film coming out this month that has been buzzed about all the way from the Toronto International Film Festival to the impending Thanksgiving holiday. In that film, he plays Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician and logician who was indispensable at breaking Nazi code in World War II, and who was then broken by his own government.
So, that is why you should see The Imitation Game, and here is why you’ll remember to:
While speaking with MTV, Cumberbatch was challenged to live up to The Imitation Game’s lofty title by imitating as many prompted celebrities as possible in 60 seconds. He gets his count up to 11, albeit we think his Taylor Swift and Christopher Walken were a bit spotty at best. Still, it’s worth it just to see Cumberbatch do Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Tom Hiddleston, Jack Nicholson, and Tom Hardy’s Bane, amongst others.
The Imitation Game is in theaters on November 28th.
