Joss Whedon will be reuniting his Avengers next month for a couple of weeks of extra work on Avengers: Age Of Ultron...
As is commonplace with pretty much any big movie, director Joss Whedon is going to be reuniting some of his Avengers: Age Of Ultron cast for pick-up work come the start of the new year. Principal photography on the Avengerssequel was completed a month or two back, and - having spent time in the edit room with his footage - Whedon is set to do up to two weeks of extra shooting at Pinewood Studios in London this coming January.
The report on said work over at The Mail suggests that "the second Avengersmovie... needs a bit more kick-ass on an extravagant scale," adding that the film's stars have received a blanket notice asking that they make themselves available should they be required.
It also adds that shooting onAvengers: Infinity War will begin at Pinewood Studios next year, with both parts being shot back to back. We're less convinced of that, though, as it seems a little too soon. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1isn't due in cinemas until 2018, and it's rumored that it's directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. They'll be shooting Captain America: Civil War next year, and getting it ready for its May 2016 release. It does seem likely, however, that the next pair of Avengersmovies will be shooting in the UK.
Furthermore, it's clear that a lot of Marvel Studios production work will be taking place next year anyway. There's the small matter of Doctor Strangeto get ready too, for its own November 2016 release. Might a tease for that be set to line in The Avengers 2's end credits?
