It may not yet be Frozen 2, but "Frozen Fever" is sure to have families in its grip when Cinderella opens in March...
Do you want to build a snowman? You might be sick of the cold fluff come next March, but we think you’ll still find a warm place in your heart for Olaf—and Anna, and Kristoff, and Sven, and of course Elsa. Yep, the cast of Frozen is coming back to theaters sooner than expected, albeit not yet for Frozen 2.
Just in time to pick up the ice after the Frozen arc on Once Upon a Time cools down, every belting child’s favorite characters are back for “Frozen Fever,” a new Walt Disney Animation Studios short that will be attached to the March release of Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella.
While that version of the girl with the glass slipper is decidedly in live-action (and also decidedly not a musical), “Frozen Fever” promises to offer more of the source material’s appeal as the characters return for a simple enough plot. The logline reads:
In “Frozen Fever,” it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.
Yeah, it’s not exactly what I’d call the most original set-up, and sounds a whole lot like the first act of Frozen reduced to bite-sized consumption, but we’re sure that if you have kids, your tickets have just been bought. So…yay?
