Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed as Deadpool, and the Deadpool movie is coming in February of 2016. Watch some test footage here...
We thought it might be nice to remind you all that footage of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool exists, just to hold you over until the Deadpool movie is finally released on February 12th, 2016.
How legit is this Deadpoolmovie test footage that leaked online in the middle of SDCC? It's so legit that 20th Century Fox is taking these videos down as fast as we can find them. Forgive me if the video isn't here by the time you read this.
Usually, we don't do leaked footage. It's ugly. It's low rent. The videos disappear, leaving a YouTube shaped hole in our hearts on the page. I'd like to think we're better than that.
But this Deadpool movie test footage is just too delicious to pass up. It's CG, but it's just meant to test the timing of the dialogue, the music, and give everyone an idea of how the action should play out. This is definitely the opening sequence from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick's hilarious Deadpooldraft circa 2010, and that's definitely Ryan Reynolds' voice.

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has not only confirmed that this is the same test footage that 20th Century Fox showed him, but that the Deadpool you're watching is actually a Ryan Reynolds motion capture performance. That makes this that much closer to being the Deadpoolmovie that you may or may not ever actually get to see.
If I were you, I'd sit here and watch this clip a few more times. It might not be here when you get back.
So, you think this clip is a little violent? Perhaps a bit over the top? oof...you should read the next one hundred and something or other pages of the script!
Here's our plea to 20th Century Fox: let this Deadpoolclip live. Put it out there yourselves. Fans have been desperately clamoring for this flick for years, and while we understand the reluctance to make an R-rated superhero movie (and, make no mistake, this footage comes from a screenplay that would absolutely be a hard "R"), just let the fans have a little something.
