It looks like Viola Davis will be taking on the role of Amanda Waller in DC and David Ayer's Suicide Squad film.
The bulk of the main cast for David Ayer's Suicide Squadmovie, the DC project that'll follow Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice in 2016, has been in place for a couple of weeks now. We know that Jared Leto is playing The Joker, Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn, Tom Hardy is Rick Flag, Jai Courtney is Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne is Enchantress.
And it looks as if one of the few remaining parts of the casting jigsaw has been found.
It's being reported that Viola Davis has snagged the role of prison warden Amanda Waller in the new film. She's the one placed in charge of the Suicide Squad, although Davis' involvement may yet hinge on whether she can find time in her schedule for the TV show How To Get Away With Murder.
Suicide Squad goes into production in the first half of 2015. It's currently scheduled for release in August 2016.
