Andy Serkis tries to shed a little light on the mystery about his Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer voiceover.
There's a veritable cone of silence around Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and given how JJ Abrams loves his secrecy, and how some 2015 films (we're looking squarely at Fantastic Four as we say this) have revealed far less than The Force Awakens trailer, it's almost a miracle we know as much as we do. Which is to say, we still don't know much beyond 88 seconds of film and a handful of names.
Enter Andy Serkis, the voice of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, to shed a minimal amount of light on the proceedings. Serkis has an undisclosed role in the film, one we speculate is a villainous one, and he provides some ominous vocalizations in that trailer. So what does it all mean?
Well, the character (and it's only one character that he plays, he assures everyone) has "been through some stuff." And the voiceover is very much Serkis as that character. So if this helps your speculation engines at all, that is actual dialogue you will hear his character utter in The Force Awakens. Hey, it's not much, but the internet has done far more with far less.

Mike Cecchini has a lovely speaking voice, not that you'll ever hear it on Twitter.
