In what is certainly an unofficial image, Doctor Strange movie director teases a look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange.
Scott Derrickson has had a habit of sneaking some hip musical references into his ongoing teases about the status of the Doctor Strange movie. A few months ago he pointed out the hidden Doctor Strange on the cover of Pink Floyd's second album, A Saucerful of Secrets, and last night he juxtaposed an image of a very Doctor Strange-looking Benedict Cumberbatch with some Talking Heads lyrics.

The line comes from Talking Heads classic "Burning Down the House" from their Speaking in Tongues album. The song was prominently featured in Jonathan Demme's Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense. The image, well...this probably isn't an "official" image, but it's still plenty cool and doesn't match any fan art I've seen. It's the closest we've come to seeing Benedict Cumberbatch with the classic Doctor Strange facial hair, and we have to dig the Ditko-esque cosmic background. If Derrickson is looking to cerebral and/or psychedelic music to influence his take on the Sorcerer Supreme, we'll take it. The soundtrack possibilities alone are endless...
Doctor Strange opens on November 4th, 2016. Until then, watch the trippy-ass music video for "Burning Down the House."
