Marvel have announced when you can see the first teaser for Ant-Man. You won't be surprised.
We try very hard not to run "teasers" for trailers. I don't mean actual teasers, I mean those ridiculous things where studios show you five or ten seconds of a trailer. Essentially, a trailer for a trailer. That's a pop culture PR ouroborus that I simply won't get involved in.
You could say I'm making an exception here, but not really. If you've been wondering when you can see the first trailer for Marvel's Ant-Man, well, now we know. It will debut during the two-hour Agent Carterpremiere on Tuesday, January 6th.
So, ordinarily, this next clip wouldn't get run on its own. But since there's a hint of actual news to go along with it, well, I'm making a small exception. What is it? It's Marvel's "ant-sized" teaser for the Ant-Man trailer. Watch it if you want, but don't expect to see anything, and prepare to be annoyed if you do.
What did we learn? We learned that most trailers sound exactly the same when you can't see them. For something more substantial about the Ant-Manmovie, click here.
Ant-Man opens on July 15th.
Mike Cecchini really hates teasers for trailers. He sometimes complains about this practice on Twitter.
