Star Wars: The Force Awakens casts a couple of martial arts star from The Raid 2. Is Star Wars going kong fu?
According to The Wrap, The Raid 2 stars Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Cecep Arif Rahman will join the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in undisclosed roles. Not much else is known for sure, and this is all based on TheWrap's word, which is usually good in terms of Star Wars.
It's not known whether they're good guys or bad guys, but we're guessing the actors will either join the Jedi or Sith in the film. Why else would you cast such high-flying performers?
Also from The Wrap, a member of The Raid stunt team was also part of a Star Wars shoot, although the performer was not identified by their sources. Apparently, one of The Raid cast members in Episode VII wil die in the film.
