The First Ant-Man Trailer is Here

Can you believe that the Ant-Man movie has been in development since before the first Iron Man movie even went into production? Well, believe it. Now we finally have our first look at Marvel's Ant-Man, which stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, and Corey Stoll.

And here's the official plot synopsis:

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed, and it opens on July 17th, 2015. As for whether or not the status of Ant-Man as a relatively standalone Marvel movie might hurt it, I wrote more about that here.
