JJ Abrams has been chatting about the pressure and "weird buzz" of Star Wars: The Force Awakens...
NewsIt's just over 11 months and counting to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director JJ Abrams' big screen restarting of the Star Wars franchise. The anticipation of the film's release seems to have been only heightened by the release of the maiden teaser trailer before Christmas, and if it wasn't there already, Star Wars: The Force Awakens seems to have shot to the top of many people's to-watch list. Including our own.
"It is without question an intense and terrifying prospect," Abrams told MTV when asked how he feels about the anticipation towards the film. "It's also the opportunity I think that's greater than the fear. Greater than the risk, and so I'm more excited about the work that everyone has done on the movie, and this incredible cast."
Abrams also looked back on the shoot, arguing "it was an amazing experience making this movie for everyone. There was a weird buzz in the air when we were making this movie, but we were all just aware of how hard we had to work to make it something worthy of people's time."
It's back to the editing room for the time being for JJ Abrams and his team though, as the lengthy post-production period on Star Warscontinues. As we hear more on the film, we'll let you know...
