The Interview is heading to Blu-ray and DVD next month just in time for you to give a belated Valentine to its subject matter...
Barely a month ago, we were told that we’d never see The Interview ever. But, whether they wanted to or not, millions did their patriotic duty by seeing it in theaters or on VOD when it had a beleaguered Christmas Day release. Yet, if you still haven’t given the non-saluting gesture to Kim Jong-un and would still like to do so, you’re in luck! The Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy is now headed to Blu-ray on February 17, 2015. Just in time to write a belated Valentine to the North Korean regime.
The Blu-ray will include 14 deleted scenes, multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes, a seven-minute blooper reel, and a commentary with Rogen and Franco. The DVD and Blu-ray will also feature The Discovery Channel TV special “Naked and Afraid.”
The synopsis of this film reads:
Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the most unlikely candidates, to ‘take out’ Kim Jong-un.
The Interview was written and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and was (needless to say) the subject of a rather extensive hacking and international crisis...
