Our semi-regular reminder that the Deadpool movie is a real thing that is actually happening now involves an actual location.
NewsWhile Deadpool did his time in development hell for years, it was still very much an "almost happening" kind of movie. It had a star (Ryan Reynolds), a director (Tim Miller), and a very funny script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Test footage was shot. But as far as we know, the Deadpoolmovie never got as far as picking locations.
But it's so very happening now that we know one place it's going to shoot. By "shoot" we mean "film" because it's a Deadpool movie, so there will be plenty of additional shooting of the bullet variety. Deadpoolwill shoot film in Ryan Reynolds' hometown of Vancouver in March. Whether March is the official start of filming or whatever is another story, but since this one has a February 12th, 2016 release date to hit, they'll be moving along pretty quickly.
