NewsIt’s tough to be impartial when relaying news on Adam Sandler’s mind-boggling movie deal with Netflix. We think Netflix could use its fat wads of cash on better projects. However, if the Sandler-led films must go on, we’ll present the facts for you.
The funnyman’s first Netflix film is progressing. The Wrap is reporting that “Ridiculous 6,” a spin on the western “The Magnificent Seven,” will be Sandler’s first entry into the streaming game and they’ve already made some major casting moves. Most of the familiar Happy Madison faces will make an appearance, including Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Terry Crews, Jon Lovitz and Vanilla Ice.
The cast reportedly will also include Blake Shelton, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell and Lavell Crawford.
Sandler penned the script along with Tim Herlihy (Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore). Production begins in February.
