With the Deadpool movie, "you get to do things that you don't get to do on other superhero movies" says Ryan Reynolds...
NewsWith a release date set for February 2016, the long-mooted Deadpoolmovie - which we've been talking about since the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009 - is soon to start shooting.
Ryan Reynolds has the film The Voices arriving in cinemas soon, and while on the promotional tour for that, he's been chatting more about Deadpool. He's confirmed to Collider that prep work is going on in the coming weeks, which will be made up of "tests. Lots of tests. Lots and lots of tests."
Reynolds also took the opportunity to talk about debut director Tim Miller, saying that he's "always been the right guy." Arguining that Miller is the kind of person "that is always wanting to push a little bit farther," Reynolds added that "the advantage of doing a movie like this on a budget that is significantly less than any other kind of superhero movie is that you get to do things that you don't get to do on other superhero movies."
So then, Mr Reynolds. Are we going to get an R-rating for this one after all, then? "I have no idea," he said. "I don't want to spoil anything so we'll see. We hope."
We hope, too.
Deadpool will be released on February 12th 2016.
