Lost River arrives in theaters in April. Here's a new, very weird trailer for Ryan Gosling's directorial debut...
NewsLost River, Ryan Gosling's debut film that channels a bit of David Lynch and Nicolas Winding Refn, is getting a worldwide theater release now that its festival days are over. After a taciturn reception at Cannes from critics who basically claimed the film was too weird, Lost Riverwill give it another go.
And to announce its theater and home video release on April 10, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer:
I personally think this film looks gorgeous, just the right amount of magic realism and postapocalypse to keep me invested. I've been into this film since Matt Smith invited us to look at his muscles in the debut trailer. The fact that it looks like he's the villain makes this all the more interesting. This definitely looks like a bold directorial debut for Gosling.
Lost River stars Christina Hendricks, Iain De Caestecker, Matt Smith, Saoirse Ronan, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, and Rob Zabrecky.
