Channing Tatum returns in Magic Mike XXL. And with the trailer incoming, here's the first poster for the film...
NewsThis story contains a spoiler for Magic Mike.
Right then: we'd best sound the incoming trailer klaxon again, as Warner Bros is shortly to debut the first promo for Magic Mike XXL.
The sequel to the 2012 hit, this time around there's no Matthew McConaughey on the official cast list (although don't be surprised if there's a quick cameo), and Steven Soderbergh - while involved - isn't directing. The helmer this time is Gregory Jacobs.
In front of the camera, you do get Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias. Reading down the cast list, and it's also confirmed that Magic Mike XXL will feature Andie MacDowell, Donald Glover, Amber Heard and Jada Pinkett Smith.
As for the content of the new movie? It'll pick up three years after Magic Mike. Mike has moved on, but the rest of the "Kings Of Tampa" are now looking to give up stripping, and thus plan one last big show. And they want Mike - played by Channing Tatum - back with them.
This one sounds a bit more like a road movie, albeit one with scantily clad men (we don't write that phrase often). And ahead of the trailer's release, we've got the poster for the movie right here...
Magic Mike XXL lands in cinemas on July 1st.
