The director of The Imitation Game is lining up Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt for Passengers...
NewsPassengers is a film that seems to have been swilling around the Hollywood system for a little while now. But there seems to be a real sign that it's finally going to move forward.
It's a science fiction love story, that Sony Pictures is backing, and the studio has The Imitation Game director Morten Tyldum apparently on board to direct the movie. It tells the story of spacecraft on a very, very long journey, that takes over 100 years to complete, and it's been penned by Jon Spaihts, who worked on Prometheus (and is currently scribbling Doctor Strange for Marvel).
Furthermore, there's some fairly significant casting news. Not that it'll be a surprise if you read the headline to this piece, which presumably made you click on it in the first place. But you can't blame us for trying to up the suspense a little.
Both Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, anyway, are "in early talks" to take the lead roles in the movie. It's not a done deal, not least because Jennifer Lawrence has a pretty packed schedule (she starts filming X-Men: Apocalypse shortly). But it's looking promising right now.
There's no release date for Passengers. But we'll keep you posted with further news...
