Hugh Jackman Wants in on the Deadpool Movie

Once upon a time, Hugh Jackman said he wouldn't be involved in X-Men: First Class. Hugh Jackman lied. He ended up with what was arguably the most memorable five seconds in the history of the franchise.

What does all this have to do with the Deadpoolmovie? We're glad you asked!

Hugh Jackman recently spoke with MTV UK while on the promotional circuit for Chappie. Inevitably, the state of the X-Men franchise came up. "Ryan is a really good friend of mine," Mr. Jackman said. That's nice, but what about Deadpool? "They're definitely enemies in the comics...they always spark off well together, so I'd be open to that idea."

Keep in mind, just recently, Mr. Jackman said that he'd be down to play Wolverine until he dies, so why not start with a role in the Deadpool movie, right? The movie is already going to be crammed with second and third tier X-Men characters (plus Colossus!), so a little extra star power couldn't hurt things. It's not like there isn't already some precedent for these two characters being in a movie together. This could be, y'know, an apology for that.

And he could totally drop more f-bombs in this one and it would be perfectly in keeping with the tone of things. So, yes, we'd like to see this happen.
