Harrison Ford is as tough as the characters he plays on screen, surviving the crash of a small plane he was piloting.
NewsHarrison Ford gave us all a considerable scare this evening after making a hard landing on a golf course in California. The 72 year old actor, who absolutely needs no further introduction to anyone reading a site named "Den of Geek," was piloting a vintage Ryan PT-22 Recruit when he had to make an emergency landing.
The plane went down shortly after takeoff from a local airfield and Mr. Ford reportedly walked away from the crash with multiple lacerations and "moderate trauma." He was "alert and conscious," and is in fair condition at a local hospital. He's known for his love of flying small aircraft, and this wasn't his first crash.
There's an old saying, which sounds like something you'd hear from Han Solo, that "any landing you can walk away from is a good one." Hopefully this one fits the bill.
Harrison Ford's son, Ben Ford, tweeted encouraging news about his father's condition.
At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.

Mr. Ford's publicist stated that "he's expected to make a full recovery." That sounds great to us. Hopefully the next thing we'll hear is that he's going home.
Get well soon, Mr. Ford.
