New pictures from Josh Trank's Fantastic Four movie, as the sequel shifts dates to avoid a clash with Star Wars: Episode VIII...
NewsJosh Trank's reboot of theFantastic Four movie franchise arrives this coming August in cinemas, and there's a bit more optimism towards it, it seems, following the release of the first trailer last month.
The new film stars Miles Teller, Kata Mara, Michael B Jordan and Jamie Bell as Marvel's First Family, with Toby Kebbell has Doctor Doom. It's working from a script by Simon Kinberg, and a bunch of new images has popped up over at Total Film. So let's start with those, showing three of the four leads at work...

Then, we've got a little bit of news surrounding Fantastic Four 2. 20th Century Fox had long ago earmarked a release date for the movie, of June 2nd 2017. It's had a slight realignment of its plans, however, with the news that Disney is launching Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26th 2017.
Fox's reaction? To putFantastic Four 2 back a week, to give it some breathing room. The sequel is now set for June 9th 2017. Presumably it remains dependant on the success of this August's Fantastic Four movie, though.
Currently still sitting on Star Wars' new release date, incidentally, isThe LEGO Batman Movie. We'd bet good-ish money that that'll end up moving as well.
