Miles Teller Wants to Put His Stamp on Fantastic Four

Miles Teller has already appeared in two different films released into cinemas this year. Two Night Stand didn't make much of a splash, yet the wonderful Whiplash very much did. Furthermore, he also appears in Insurgent, the new Divergent movie, which arrives at the end of the week.

While on promotional duties for Insurgentthough, he's been quizzed about the highest profile of his 2015 releases, the reboot of the Fantastic Four. In the movie, he plays Mr Fantastic/Reed Richards, and chatting to MTV he said that "we were looking to kind of put our stamp on it. We were looking to pay respect to the history of the characters but to bring them up to date."

He added that he was keen for the film's humour to make the final cut. "You should have some laughs in there. You want to see some enjoyment and The Thing better say 'it's clobbering time,'" he added.

He also told the site that he'd not heard any plans for a mooted crossover between X-Men and the Fantastic Four, the two Marvel properties to which 20th Century Fox owns the rights. But he's very much up for the idea. "I would love to kick if with Wolverine," he said.

Fantastic Fourlands in cinemas at the start of August.
