Daniel Bruhl fears "Marvel jail" if he gives too much away about his Captain America: Civil War part...

News

When Marvel announced a third Captain America film, Captain America: Civil War, it was obvious that Chris Evans was going to be back in the lead role, and that the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan were likely to return. But the first piece of fresh casting news on the project was the addition of Daniel Bruhl to the line up.

Back in November last year, he was added to the cast in an unnamed role, believed to be a villain. Furthermore, the rumor was that he would then carry that role over to Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange movie, which is set to star Benedict Cumberbatch. There's been no further word on his Doctor Strangeinvolvement since then, we should note.

Still, since then, it's been claimed that Bruhl is going to play Baron Heinrich Zemo, a Nazi scientist who it would be fair to say is a thorn in the side of The Avengers.

Bruhl has been chatting about his role in the Marvel cinematic universe to The Wall Street Journal, admitting that "it's huge for me."

"From the world I am coming from and the movies I have done, this feels big - megalomania and huge. I think I will be walking around for the first week being amazed, like a little boy, to be in that universe."

"It's going to be fantastic. It is something new. That is why it is a challenge," he added.

So: can he say anything about his specific role? What do you think. "I cannot even talk about the part, really, because I would be too afraid to give something away and then I'll end up in the Marvel prison, and I do not want that."

You have to see his point there.

Captain America: Civil War, which will also feature Iron Man, Black Panther, and - by the looks of it - Spider-Man, is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (who helmed the successful Captain America: The Winter Soldier). It's due for release in May 2016.
