A stunning new science fiction film with a promotional teaser has landed Simon Kinberg and Neill Blomkamp as producers.
NewsAfter releasing a gloriously nightmarish teaser for his epic science fiction concept, director Ruairi Robinson has landed some big producing support for The Leviathan. That film, which will chronicles a 22nd century hunt for a creature which makes the white whale of Moby Dick look like a guppy, has now landed the producing power of Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Cinderella) and Neill Blomkamp. For this film Blomkamp, who directed District 9 and Chappie (the latter of which Simon Kinberg also served as a producer on), will act as executive producer.
While there is still no official word yet of a studio picking up The Leviathan, this undoubtedly should appeal to any studio tired of superheroes. Indeed, with a large-scale vision that will likely appeal to audiences who eat up Star Wars and Aliens influenced imagery, the intense three-minute short film that you can watch below demands immediate attention.
Jim Uhls, who also wrote the screenplay for Fight Club, has already penned the script for The Leviathan.
