The extended trailer for Entourage shows us just about everything we'd expect in an Entourage movie.
NewsVincent Chase--The Wolf of Los Angeles, Prodigal Son of Queens, Mandy Moore Stalker, and Jason Momoa before he was Jason Momoa--is finally where he belongs: On the big screen.
In the last trailer for Entourage, the movie, we find Vince on a big boy yacht with beautiful women everywhere and Bob Saget lurking not far behind. Jordan Belfort, eat your damn heart out. This incarnation of Entourage is trying to out Scorsese Scorsese.
Vince and the boys return on June 5th, but really, not much has changed. The synopsis says Vince is “together with his boys,” (the usual suspects, plus Saget, we hope) and is “back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold.” No surprise there. Here’s where things get sticky: “Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.”
Hmm… sounds like just about every episode of the series ever. Still, the trailer shows us a bunch of beautiful people and Turtle having a good time. Isn’t that why we started watching Entourage?
As long as we don’t get Vince in another Smoke Jumpers alongside Ed Norton, this film should pretty smoothly pick up where the series left off. Entourage creator Doug Ellin wrote and directed the film. Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Ellin are producing, with Wayne Carmona serving as executive producer.
Entourage hits theaters June 5th, 2015.
