Alien Nation Remake Coming

If the prospect of an Alien Nation remake doesn't immediately fill you with glee, that's understandable. Alien Nation was a terrific 1988 sci-fi/cop film, and a decent little TV series if memory serves. It's been virtually forgotten in the last few years.

Which means, of course, it's time for a remake.

Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing when you consider who's involved. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway are writing the movie. They did fine work on the first Iron Man movie. Fox is hoping for another Rise of the Planet of the Apessituation here, where they can explain in details how the aliens first arrived and why they're here in the first place. The original film opened with the aliens already integrating into society. 

Alright, it's not thrilling news.
