Hugh Jackman might finally be done playing Logan after The Wolverine 3 wraps.
NewsHugh Jackman has gone back and forth on the issue of when he's going to hang up Wolverine's claws. At one point he indicated he was nearly done with the role, but then he backtracked, stating that he'd be willing to play Logan "until I die."
But with Wolverine 3about to enter production it would seem that he's made a choice.
A posting on Mr. Jackman's Instagram states: "WOLVERINE...ONE LAST TIME."
This still doesn't rule out an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is about to go into full swing. But if Jackman is indeed in that film (and I'm willing to bet he shows up in some capacity), it won't be a major role. So it now sounds like Wolverine 3 will be our farewell to one of the most iconic superhero actors of all time.
Unless, of course, he changes his mind. We wouldn't mind.
The Wolverine 3 (expect a different title) is set for release on March 3rd, 2017. Meanwhile, X-Men: Apocalypse, which may or may not feature Hugh Jackman in a small role, is scheduled for release on May 27th, 2016.
