
Will Stephen Dorff wear a Texas Ranger hat made of human flesh?
NewsStephen Dorff was cast in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface. The star of Cecil B. Demented will play the lead role of Texas Ranger Hartman.
Leatherface, which is coming from Millenniums Films, tells the story of the teenaged Leatherface as he joins with three funloving friends, Jackson (Sam Strike), Ike (James Bloor) and an uncast third young maniac, to skip out of a mental hospital for a road trip with one of the nurses.
Leatherface was written by Seth M. Sherwood. The movie will be directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury. Angela Bettis was cast as Mother Sawyer.
The newest reanimation of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror movie cult classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, is being produced by the people who dug him up in 2013’s The Texas Chainsaw Masssacre 3D (which really got in your leatherface), Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Carl Mazzocone.
Dorff just finished production on American Hero, directed by Nick Love and co-starring Eddie Griffin. He also wrapped The Motel Life with Emile Hirsch and Dakota Fanning, and Zaytoun.
Leatherface begins shooting on May 18th.
