Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Adds Stephen Amell

Whoah. From Green Arrow to an ally of some other green dudes! Stephen Amell will play vigilante and sports equipment enthusiast Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

This is simple, obvious, perfect casting. There's no doubting Mr. Amell's athletic abilities, and he's developed some subtle comic timing over the last few years on Arrow. Casey Jones will all but certainly end up as the love interest for Megan Fox's April O'Neil in the movie. Jones was first played by Elias Koteas in the original (really excellent) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesmovie. The character appeared in an early draft of the 2014 reboot of the franchise, but didn't make the cut. 

The timing is, of course, perfect. Arrowis all set to wrap filming on its third season, while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2is just starting production in New York City. David Green is directing.
